Up to what age can my baby stay in the hammock?The Miyo Baby Hammock Company hammock is designed to be used from birth up to approximately 6-9 months, depending on the size and development of the individual baby. The manufacturer recommends once a baby’s length is past the hammock domes and/or baby begins to roll over that baby be placed in a flat bed.
How do I install it?The Miyo Baby Hammock Company hammock can be hung using the ceiling hook which is drilled directly into a ceiling joist, or using the custom designed and built Miyo Baby Hammock Company Hammock Stand.
It is very important that theinstallation instructionsprovided are followed clearly to ensure all safety standards are met.

How do I place baby in the hammock?Once the hammock has been correctly assembled and installed, following the instructions provided, you can place baby into the hammock. Until you are comfortable with doing this you may wish to practice using a doll or soft toy.
Hold baby with one arm, close to your side and on your hip. With the other arm keep the hammock steady. Place baby into hammock ensuring that baby’s head is up as far as possible to the top of the mattress. Baby’s feet should be at the dome end of the mattress.
Ensure baby is lying straight in the hammock. You may need to adjust the wood separator and mattress until it is straight.
Once baby is comfortable, and blanket (if required) are placed, ensure all domes are fastened.
